The Advisory Council, composed of individuals 25 and older with lived experience of homelessness, provides valuable insights, feedback, and policy recommendations. Their perspectives help shape local services and strategies to prevent and end homelessness.

This workshop is designed to explore the application of Motivational Interviewing (MI) as a strategy for promoting behavior change with clients with complex mental health needs. In this workshop, we will delve into the principles and methods of the MI style, focusing on its use in mental health.
This is a two-day training, and you must register and attend both days in order to receive credit.
This course, led by Dr. Scott Walters, Professor of Population and Community Health at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, focuses on the principles and techniques of Motivational Interviewing (MI). MI is a client-centered, directive method for enhancing intrinsic motivation to change by exploring and resolving ambivalence.
Dr. Walters brings over 20 years of experience in MI research, training, and practice, making this course ideal for professionals seeking to enhance their skills in motivational interviewing.

The tenant readiness course is designed to help guide those preparing to be housed with the knowledge of what to look for in your lease agreement, how to maintain your rental housing, best practices for engaging with neighbors, how to interact with the landlord and basic tenant rights.
The Improvement, Coordination & Training (ICT) Committee works together to create, review and improve policies and procedures, increase service provider coordination, and develop training curriculum to ensure the implementation of best practices throughout the Continuum of Care.
