Lauren is a proud social worker who bleeds purple, but may also have a touch of burnt orange in her as well. When she’s not working to end homelessness, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, traveling as much as possible, and cheering the Frogs on at every opportunity.

For Stephanie, working within the Continuum of Care to support service providers feels like her spiritual superpower, and her gratitude is as boundless as her commitment.
When she’s not out changing the world (or at least making a meaningful dent in it), you’ll find Stephanie at home with her family, leading epic game nights filled with snacks, laughter, and a serious quest for victory.
And just when she thought she couldn’t level up any further, she became “Coco”—the abuela every grandchild dreams of. Whether she’s singing Super Simple Songs or discovering the latest toys, she’s pretty much the superhero of the grandma world.
Stephanie is here to help—and probably bring cookies, too.

For over four decades, my primary mission has been to help every family pursue and attain the "American Dream." For many, this vision centers on securing meaningful employment and earning a sustainable income. My professional journey has been devoted to championing these aspirations, and while significant progress has been made, much remains to be accomplished. At present, our community faces a standstill in realizing this important goal.
Before retiring, I established myself as a specialist in a range of programs including welfare reform, criminal justice, homelessness initiatives, and vital safety net programs such as SNAP, TANF, subsidized childcare, and Medicaid. My work has focused on enhancing the effectiveness of these supports and addressing the needs of vulnerable populations.
Retirement has opened new avenues for me to connect with individuals and guide them in accessing and navigating these complex programs. In Texas, where services are often hampered by complexity and bureaucratic barriers, I am dedicated to serving as a resource and advocate, helping others make these programs work for them.
