Mental Health First Aid for Adults teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in Adults ages 18 and older, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.
Understanding Category 4
Explore HUD Category 4, focusing on victims of Domestic Violence, Intimate Partner Violence, and Human Trafficking. Learn trauma-informed care and eligibility assessments to effectively support and identify affected clients. This small group training includes presentations and discussions, providing opportunities to ask questions and apply the knowledge gained. Sessions are offered monthly for both Victim Service Providers and other interacting with this population.
Boot Camp Live!
This comprehensive training is tailored for social service providers new to homeless services It offers an in-depth overview of our Continuum of Care (CoC) services, the frameworks we practice, and community resources. The training includes an extended walking tour of Lancaster shelters, providing true insight into client experiences. Be prepared for an active session, covering approximately 7,000 steps, to fully immerse yourself in the shelter environment.
